An orthodontist is a dentist (a doctor that works on teeth) that specializes in straightening teeth with things like braces.<\/p>\n
Each dentist, in order to achieve the title of specialist in orthodontics, must serve a 4-year internship with a specialization in orthodontics, along with passing a state examination with a specialization in orthodontics \u2013 requirements in both in theory and in practice.<\/p>\n
Currently, it often happens that dentists who do not have a specialization in orthodontics use the term “specializing in orthodontics”, which is misleading to patients. The patients believe that their treatment is by a specialist in orthodontics, which unfortunately is not true. Patients remember! Internships, diplomas received from orthodontic courses, and academic titles do not decide whether someone is a specialist in orthodontics, but only passing the state examination with a specialization in orthodontics. Therefore, always check whether or not your dentist holds the title: Specialist in Orthodontics.<\/p>\n

This means that each of our dentists has completed an internship specializing in orthodontics, passed the state examination and earned the title of a qualified specialist in orthodontics. In addition, OrtoVena\u2019s employees in orthodontics are constantly improving their skills through participation in specialized courses both at home and abroad (including: in the UK, Argentina, Germany, the United States, Austria and Italy). Our orthodontists are also active members of the Polish Orthodontic Society and the Italian Orthodontic Society (Societ\u00e0 Italiana di Ortodonzia, SIDO<\/em>) constantly involved in orthodontic courses – organized by the world-renowned orthodontics – at home and abroad.
